Cable-free three-component passive seismograph for Vs profiling to ~1.5 km depth
The Atom-3C is a wireless, nodal passive seismograph system composed of independent three-channel acquisition units, each equipped with 24-bit A/D conversion, GPS-controlled timing, and 8 GB of internal storage. With up to 70 hours of battery life per charge and no spread cables required, survey teams can deploy units freely across complex urban terrain without being constrained by fixed geometries. The accompanying SeisImager Surface Wave software enables efficient post-acquisition processing for shear-wave velocity (Vs) determination to depths approaching 1.5 km.
