Wireless 3-component microtremor logger for passive S-wave velocity profiling
The McSEIS-AT is a self-contained, IP68-rated microtremor data logger that acquires passive seismic recordings on three components (two horizontal, one vertical) without the need for a seismic source or external power cables. GPS time synchronisation and Wi-Fi data download eliminate cabling between units, while 8 GB of onboard storage supports approximately 10 days of continuous recording at 4 ms sampling. Captured data are analysed with SeisImager software to derive 3D S-wave velocity structures for site characterisation and liquefaction assessment.
