The MagEx is Geometrics' newest and lightest land magnetometer, weighing just 3.7 kg, and built entirely around the MFAM sensor for superior performance in demanding terrain. Fully self-contained with integrated GPS, onboard data storage, and a wireless access point, it pairs with an Android tablet running MagNav software for real-time magnetic field display, waypoint-guided navigation, and in-field color contour mapping. The MFAM sensors sample at 1000 Hz internally and output at up to 25 Hz for high-resolution mapping, while the 12+ hour hot-swappable battery supports a full day of operations without additional battery packs.
